Before even completing the 4x4 Diesel Mountainboard on tires, I could already visualize the off-road advantages for designing and fabricating mini Mattracks for this platform.  It is very difficult to find one piece tracks in small diameters that are also durable enough to withstand the off-road abuse I was planning on putting this prototype through.  I utilized Snow Joe Thermoplastic Traction Pad Links and looped them back to back with high strength aircraft cables to create custom tracks in any dimension.  The additional drag from the tracks when turning made the system too difficult to maneuver with the only the strength of  the riders legs, so I fabricated a collapsable handle to help give mechanical advantage to the rider when turning. The track cogs are made from High Density Polyethylene to save weight and fabrication costs. There are plans in the future for a version with an ultralight aluminium chassis and electric 4x4 drivetrain.
